Looking after each other – our IT buddies are connected
Working remotely from home was something new for most people and it hasn’t always been easy.
Aware of the many additional pressures team members were facing, our CIO George Eapen initiated a ‘buddy system’ enabling members of the IT team to check in on each other regularly to talk. Video calls were structured, with colleagues paired up to stay connected and look out for each other.
“There has been a lot to think about, from home-schooling children to dealing with the anxiety of spending more time indoors. Everyone working remotely has had to figure out how to adapt to their own situation and the buddy system has allowed colleagues worldwide to share and discuss tips to support each other,” said George.
