ADNOC Gas delegation recognises Petrofac’s nationalisation efforts in the UAE

Following the groundbreaking ceremony for ADNOC Gas’s Estidama Habshan Gas Compressor Plant (HGCP) PKG2 project, our team hosted a delegation from our client ADNOC Gas, led by ADNOC Gas CEO Ahmed Mohamed Alebri at our Petrofac Tower in Sharjah.

During the visit, we presented our key achievements along with components of our local delivery model, in-country value (ICV) contribution and the ongoing nationalisation recruitment efforts on the recently awarded Estidama HGCP PKG2 and ADNOC Gas’s Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) projects, valued at over US$1.3 billion.

ADNOC Gas delegation visit to Petrofac, Sharjah

We have been in the UAE since 1991 and have played a key role in executing and delivering some of the country’s most prestigious energy projects. This visit is a validation to our commitment to support ADNOC and the UAE on the decarbonisation journey projects, increasing production of lower-intensity gas, and capturing emissions from operational assets.

Showcasing commitment

To highlight our dedication to the growth and development of our National Emirati workforce, the delegation engaged in several activities. They began their visit with a networking session with our Emirati colleagues, which was followed by a tour of the recently reopened Petrofac Academy, emphasising our commitment to ongoing professional development. The delegation then participated in strategic business meetings, contributing to collaborative discussions. The visit concluded with a lunch with the Estidama HGCP2 project team.

I was very thrilled to have joined Petrofac in welcoming their first ICV recruitment batch of UAE nationals. The first 44 UAE nationals out of a total planned 127 recruits, as part of both ‘ESTIDAMA’ and CCUS projects, will start their journey from academia to the corporate world. We applaud them for seeking this opportunity for their personal and professional growth and embracing challenges they may encounter as stepping-stones to their goals.
Ahmed Mohamed Alebri Chief Executive Officer, ADNOC Gas
