Social media

We encourage and welcome conversation on social media from all audiences.

At the same time, we recognise that social media has an impact on overall wellbeing and mental health. In the interest of a healthy conversation, we are taking an active role in moderating the conversation across our channels.

Our colleagues have access to our Social Media Best Practice Guidelines, which clearly define acceptable social media behaviours for anyone working for or representing Petrofac. Externally, we are abiding by our moderation approach.

Our social media moderation approach

We reserve the right to block or delete posts containing:

  • offensive or threatening language
  • potentially libellous accusations
  • intentionally unconstructive, off-topic, or disruptive comments
  • spam or marketing unrelated products or services and accompanying links
  • any unlawful use of imagery that violates copyright or breach of a licence agreement
  • any use of images/words that are considered threats, intimidation, offensive jokes, slurs, epithets, insults, ridicule or mockery, etc.
  • links to other unverified sites

We reserve the right to ban, block, and report users who break these rules repeatedly and with harmful intent.
