Well engineering studies

Ensuring constructability and operability through well engineering design is vital for the success of any project.

By bringing in asset operations and engineering expertise at the earliest stage we ensure our solutions are safe, technically sound, fit-for-purpose and cost effective.

Whether you require a field evaluation study, well and completion design, or our opinion on how best to approach specialist engineering such as high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) or deep-water drilling – let our people become the energy behind your next project.

EXPERIENCE

A track record of reliable delivery

From discrete studies, through to full field development plans for new resources, our expert teams have built up a proven global track record with an unrivalled breadth of experience.

We focus on cost efficiency and maximising the value of your developed asset.

Well engineering studies services include:

  • Well and completion design
  • Well plug and abandonment methodology and design
  • Drilling performance
  • Feasibility and concept select design studies
  • Peer reviews, audits and risk assessments
  • Well examination
  • HPHT, underbalanced and coiled tubing drilling
  • Document and procedural authorship
  • Well integrity
  • Well intervention
  • Well test design

New energy well engineering

By leveraging our core capabilities developed in oil and gas, we support the rapidly growing new energy market.

With an established new energy track record, including a number of large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, we have delivered conceptual design, detailed due diligence, risk reviews and cost estimates for all well types.

Currently we are providing systems and technical support during the front-end engineering design for Scotland’s ambitious Acorn CCS and hydrogen project, including well design support, and the concept select.
