Top marks in industry audit

Petrofac Offshore Projects & Operations (OPO) in the North Sea has recently received its highest scores yet in a major, industry-wide supply-chain audit. The results of the independent, bi-annual First Point Assessment Ltd (FPAL) Verify audit showed an increase in our scores in all three of the audited categories – Health & Safety, Environment and Competence and Training.

The results mean that we now have assessed scores of more than nine out of ten in all three areas. The scores rank among the highest within the geographical scope of the audit; the UK, Dutch and Irish oil & gas industry.

Our results will be available, along with those of our peers, to view online on the FPAL website enabling our customers to view an objective assessment of our supply-chain capability and performance. The overall aim of the Verify audit is to enable potential customers who participate in the scheme to make a fair comparison of selected suppliers without the need to undertake their own, specific audit of each vendor.

Commenting on the results of the audit, Gordon Smith, Vice President – Commercial, said: “We are very pleased with our latest results from the FPAL Verify audit. The high scores demonstrate our commitment to our customers as well as to constant improvement across all aspects of our operations.”
