Takatuf Petrofac Oman celebrates its first anniversary
Inspiring technical excellence in Oman - Takatuf Petrofac Oman (TPO) Training Centre of Excellence celebrates its first anniversary as a leading training centre for the energy industry.
TPO marked the occasion with an event held at their facilities in Muscat, Oman. The event was attended by H.E. Salim Al Aufi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, industry leaders, employees, students and wider stakeholders.
At the event, students shared their perspectives on the skills employers within the oil and gas industry value the most and took the opportunity to express their appreciation to their sponsoring companies - approximately 400 students have been sponsored by leading oil and gas companies in Oman to date.
Guests attending the occasion were given a tour of the facility to fully appreciate the centre’s approach to experiential and immersive learning techniques and had the opportunity to see a live emergency scenario enacted by the students operating the pilot process plants in the facility.
Patty Eid, Global Head of Petrofac Training Services, represented Petrofac at the celebration and, commenting on the occasion, said:
It is a proud day for Petrofac as we celebrate this significant milestone. TPO has achieved a lot since opening its doors to our first cohort of students in 2018. This is due to the various parties who have all played their part in successfully introducing this state of the art, immersive leaning centre to Oman and we look forward to a bright future ahead in developing the next generation for industry.
