Petrofac welcomes children from the SMILE Foundation programme to Mumbai office

Children who have benefited from our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative with the SMILE Foundation (a charity that improves the lives of underprivileged children living in urban poverty and marginalised communities in Mumbai and Chennai through education) recently visited our Mumbai office.

Fifteen top ranking students spent the day with us as a reward for their hard work and commitment to their studies.

After receiving a briefing on Petrofac, our young visitors were taken on an office tour. The children watched a number of videos illustrating our projects as well as seeing our 3D modelling capabilities first hand.

The children were very excited to experience a real work atmosphere and enjoyed interacting with everyone.

General Manager Lakshmi Venkatesh encouraged the students to continue working hard to complete their higher education, and the students received small gifts in recognition of the visit and their achievements.

The SMILE Foundation programme supplements the children's basic education, raises awareness and support within local communities for improving the quality of education, and ensures children do not drop out of schools.
