Petrofac supports UAE traffic safety initiative

In the run up to the UAE National Day holidays, Petrofac is sponsoring a traffic safety awareness programme and exhibition at Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi, under the theme “Let’s celebrate without accidents.” The week-long initiative is focussed on promoting a better traffic safety culture across the Emirates.

Under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the programme includes presentations from a wide range of partner organisations, competitions and other performances targeting a broad spectrum of the community, with a particular focus on youth.

Ali Abdulla, Vice President HSSEIA, E&C represented Petrofac at the launch and commented: “At Petrofac, driving continues to be one of the highest risk activities, impacting our employees both at work and at home. This high visibility, community targeted event held in one of the region’s busiest malls demonstrates that following some simple but essential rules can help everyone reach their destination safely – whether they are driving as part of their job, or in a personal capacity outside work."
