Petrofac shares digital training expertise at Caspian Oil and Gas event

Last week, the oil and gas community came together for the 25th Anniversary International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event played host to a series of talks focused on opportunities and challenges for the industry in this growing region.

Karim Osseiran, Global Head of Petrofac’s Training Services business, participated in a roundtable session titled ‘Human Resources in a Time of Digital Transformation.’

Presenting as both a representative of Petrofac, and as a Board Member representative of the recently formed joint venture, SOCAR Petrofac Caspian (SPC), Karim showcased how today’s learning methodologies have evolved to align to the needs of both trainees and industry.

“This is a timely and important topic for the oil and gas industry due to changing demographics globally. Not only are we adapting our approach to how we attract and recruit new talent but also how we engage and inspire them during their career development,” explained Karim.

He walked delegates through our innovative approach to designing and developing dedicated technical training infrastructure, including our recently opened Takatuf Petrofac Oman (TPO) Centre in collaboration with Takatuf.
