Petrofac’s Chief Executive Ayman Asfari speaks at Algerian Investment Forum

Petrofac’s Group Chief Executive Ayman Asfari gave a keynote speech at the recent 2016 Algeria-UK Investment Forum. 

The Forum, led by the Algerian Minister of Industry and Mines, is an influential Algerian event which focuses on deepening and broadening the economic partnership between the UK and Algeria in priority sectors.

Ayman’s speech reflected the UK Government’s strategy to increase trade between the two countries through a network of accredited suppliers and contacts.  He spoke about the opportunities available to UK companies considering investing in Algeria, such as:

• The rich conventional oil and gas resources of Algeria
• The country’s  huge potential for renewable energy
• Algeria’s close proximity to energy-consuming markets in Europe
• Its well-developed supply chain and capabilities.

More than 800 people attended the event held in Algiers, including academics and representatives of the Algerian and British Government and representatives of UK companies active in Algeria.
