Petrofac presented with supply chain excellence award

Petrofac’s Offshore Projects & Operations (OPO) team was presented with the Award of Excellence at the 2013 Supply Chain Code of Practice award ceremony on 6 November in Aberdeen.

The accolade celebrates the team’s achievement of three consecutive gold awards for compliance with the Code.

The Supply Chain Code of Practice outlines a set of best practice guidelines for the UKCS oil and gas industry to:

• improve performance
• eliminate unnecessary costs
• add value and boost competitiveness

Commenting on the award, Gordon Smith, Senior Vice President Commercial and Legal, OPO, said: “We’re extremely pleased to have received the Award of Excellence. It’s testament to our commitment to full compliance with the Code and achieving the highest attainable standards of business operations.”
