Petrofac plays host to international trade delegation

As part of a programme of events to champion the North Sea supply chain to emerging markets, senior members of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) visited Petrofac’s offices in Aberdeen last week.

The delegation – led by Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the NOC – received a range of presentations on Petrofac’s capabilities, including the areas of engineering and consultancy, and national workforce development. Scottish Trade Envoy, Wendy Alexander, also addressed guests.

“As Libya’s oil and gas community works to manage and extend the life of its mature fields, engagement with UK businesses on their experience of driving improved efficiency and maximising economic value, was a key aim for the visit”, explained Gwen Folland, Petrofac’s Head of Government and Stakeholder Relations. “As well as providing us with an opportunity to hear about the priorities of the NOC, the week’s events showcased the capabilities of our UK supply chain and how this could be exported to Libya. We were delighted to play our part, by hosting our guests.”

Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the NOC, said: “This trade forum is very important as it reflects our eagerness to work with consultants, contractors, vendors and service providers with strong expertise in the oil and gas sector.”
