Petrofac opens new offices in Aberdeen and Mexico to support growing operations

Petrofac has opened a new office in Aberdeen to support the continuous growth of our Offshore Projects & Operations (OPO) business. Ayman Asfari, Group Chief Executive, visited Quattro House on Monday 2 September to officially open the office.

In line with the increasing scale of OPO’s global business opportunities, Quattro House is the new strategic global hub for the OPO leadership team. Our Bridge View office in Aberdeen is now the headquarters for OPO Europe, under the leadership of Walter Thain, Senior Vice President, Europe.

Petrofac also recently opened a second office in Mexico to support our expanding operations in the country.

The new office is located in the State of Tamaulipas, where Petrofac operates the Pánuco and Arenque contract areas. The facility, which will be home to more than 80 employees, was established to accommodate the growing workforce and to bring employees closer to the fields.

The office was officially opened on 24 July 2013, with a ceremony that was attended by Country Manager Harry Bockmeulen and representatives from PEMEX and Petro-SPM.

On 1 July 2013, Petrofac took over operations of the Arenque contract area from Pemex, Mexico’s National Oil Company. This followed the announcement in April 2013 when Petro-SPM – the joint venture bringing together Petrofac and Schlumberger – formally took over operatorship of the Pánuco contract area.
