Petrofac opens new Houston Training Centre

Petrofac’s Training Services business recently opened a new state-of-the-art training centre in Houston, Texas, the oil capital of the world, to support the growing demand for emergency response and safety training in the region.

The centre will serve as the operational headquarters for the Training Services team in the Americas as well as the primary location for the delivery of Major Emergency Management (MEM) and health and safety training.

The facility has the capacity to deliver five MEM courses simultaneously. It also offers the capability to link audio and video connections between the centre’s purpose-built MEM simulation suites. This new functionality will enable multiple response teams to interact while practising scenario-based exercises. The centre will also be used to deliver health and safety and competence assessor training courses.

“We are delighted to call the new centre home. It truly is a purpose-built facility; it will allow us to meet our customers’ training needs and provide room for growth as our team expands,” commented Tony Littler, Petrofac Training Services’ Vice President for the Americas.
