Petrofac joins forces with St John Ambulance Malaysia for a CPR programme

In June, members of the public visiting the KB Mall in Kelatan had an opportunity to receive first aid training. The CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training programme, supported by Petrofac, was officiated by YAB Tuan Guru Dato’ Bentara Setia Nik Abdul Aziz Bin Nik Mat, Kelantan Head of State Government and President of St John Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM) of Kelantan.

The event was held in conjunction with the St John Ambulance Malaysia Day, which is held in June every year. It attracted an overwhelming response from the public with 200 people participating in a short CPR course, while 80 people donated blood.

Other activities held on the day included a CPR demonstration, exhibitions dedicated to healthy eating and organ donation, as well as blood pressure, sugar and blood cholesterol check-ups.

Petrofac has long been committed to initiatives organised by St John Ambulance and seized the opportunity to collaborate with this non-governmental organisation to create awareness and to educate the public about how CPR can save lives in emergency situations.

Kelantan Head of State Government and President of St John Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM) Kelantan, YAB Tuan Guru Dato’ Bentara Setia Nik Abdul Aziz Bin Nik Mat presented a certificate of appreciation to Petrofac for our support.
