Fergus Kulasinghe, Process Engineer, received a highly commended award in the Graduate Learner of the Year 2016 category. The award celebrates exceptional graduate learners and their ongoing professional development.

Fergus started at Petrofac as a Chemical Engineer four years ago and quickly carved a niche role for himself, which involves collating information from operators’ divesting late life assets, identifying opportunities and presenting them to senior management.

Mick Bowery, Operations Manager, EPS (West), noticed Fergus’ strong skill set and ability in delivering this role and nominated him for the accolade.

Fergus said: “I’m really flattered to have been recognised by the ECITB. It means a lot to not only be recognised by my colleagues, but within the wider industry. Petrofac has supported and offered me many opportunities which enabled me to build on my knowledge and progress in my early career and into this new role.”
