Petrofac delivers global project management training through strategic alliance

Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, has added project management to its extensive portfolio of training capabilities through the creation of a global alliance between its Training Services business and UK-based project management training and development provider, 2020 Business Insight.

Through this alliance, internationally accredited open project management courses will be delivered from Petrofac Training Services’ facilities worldwide.

Peter Conner, service development director, Petrofac Training Services, said: “We adopt a flexible approach to the provision of our services to ensure we meet our customers’ needs. This alliance means that we can now deliver customised project management courses that provide the requisite skills and knowledge to individuals to enable them to deliver projects successfully; providing a tangible return for the training investment.

“We’ll be providing a range of courses from short introductory sessions through to advanced and fully accredited development programmes based on internationally-recognised competency frameworks. The courses can be taken in conjunction with other services including competency assessment, project management maturity models, project management handbooks, templates and processes.”

Tony Marks, founding director, 2020 Business Insight, said: “We are already delivering training throughout the world and, with Petrofac’s global promotion and network of training centres; we will be able to significantly increase our international delivery of open courses. For the first time our project management open course training programme will be available in the UK, Americas, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia Pacific.”
