Petrofac creates new division

Petrofac Facilities Management, the North Sea facilities Service Operator, continues to enhance its portfolio of services in brownfield development with the creation of a new division and the appointment of Bill Bayliss as Director, Brownfield Development.

In his new role Bayliss is responsible for strengthening Petrofac’s activities in brownfield feasibility engineering, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning services. Bayliss has 20 years experience in project management, operations and engineering in major offshore oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation projects within the UK and overseas.

Commenting on his appointment, Bayliss said:” I am very excited by the opportunity to provide added strength to the core businesses and look forward to developing and taking forward this new division of Petrofac.”

Jim Atack, Managing Director, Petrofac Facilities Management Europe, added: “We are continuing to grow our business in a consistent and successful way and it is important to provide top-level skills to address the particular issue of redeveloping the facilities that already exist in the North Sea, extending their lives and improving productivity.”
