Petrofac to celebrate employees’ success with the EVE awards
Petrofac employs more than 20,000 people, who represent 80 nationalities across 31 offices around the world.
Although we work in many different locations, Petrofac people are united by shared values:
- Quality and cost conscious
- Driven to deliver
Every year we recognise employees who have achieved incredible results by truly living our values with the EVE (Excellence, Values and Energy) Awards. The awards celebrate teams and individuals who have demonstrated that by living our values, you can solve difficult problems, go the extra mile for our customers and achieve outstanding results for our projects and communities. Each year we announce six winners (one for each of our values) at a ceremony; this year’s ceremony will be held on Tuesday 10 November. We will announce the winners on our website next week.
Previous winners include the team responsible for the railway package in South Yoloten, Turkmenistan. For the first time in Petrofac’s history, a railway package with a sophisticated weigh bridge system was developed in-house. The team worked with industry experts, agencies and the Turkmenistan Railway Authorities to overcome many challenges. As a result of the specification changes made by the team, such as sourcing rails from new suppliers, improving the type of sleepers and updating level crossings, the railway package was commissioned ahead of schedule with substantial savings in cost.
After winning the driven to deliver award in 2014, P K Sharma, Senior Project Manager said, “I feel on top of the world. I think the, ‘driven to deliver', value is the biggest challenge with large projects. To ensure we delivered, my team and I started every day with a positive state of mind and treated each task as a new challenge. I have been at Petrofac for 15 years so I feel very happy with the result – hard work pays off!”
