Petrofac Awarded North Sea Contract Renewal

Petrofac, the international oil & gas service provider, announces that its Offshore Projects & Operations (OPO) business has been awarded a contract renewal by Centrica. Petrofac will continue in its capacity as Duty Holder on board the Kittiwake platform, a role it has held since 2003. Following the continued successful delivery of operational and safety performance, the contract has been extended by a further two years. The contract, which is worth £80 million, is effective until May 2014.

Bill Dunnett, managing director, Petrofac OPO commented: “The renewal of this important contract with Centrica represents the extension of a successful partnership that began nearly a decade ago. The North Sea is an area of focus for us and we look forward to continuing to working with Centrica to build upon our strong safety and operational performance.”

David Wilson, regional director, central and northern North Sea, Centrica said: “Kittiwake is a great example of how Centrica is actively investing to enhance and extend the operating life of our key assets.  We appreciate Petrofac’s longstanding support on Kittiwake and we are delighted to continue our relationship with them.”
