Petrofac appoints new travel partners
Petrofac, a leading service provider to the international oil and gas industry, has announced the appointment of new travel partners, GlobalStar Travel Management (GlobalStar), and Airlink International UAE (Airlink) to service its global travel requirements.
The new providers will support all travel requirements for the 12,750-employee company which has projects and operations in 29 countries across the world. Following a competitive tender process, Airlink will provide travel management services for employees in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, while GlobalStar will service the rest of the world.
Petrofac Group Director of Human Resources, Des Thurlby, said: “We set out in 2018 to evaluate our entire travel management programme. GlobalStar and Airlink, together with their local networks, will provide tailored, cost-efficient corporate travel management services to all our employees around the world. By consolidating our travel management through these new global partnerships, we will optimise our travel spend, embrace the latest technology for booking and traveller management and security, and continue to maintain our efficiency and cost-effectiveness in this area.”
Petrofac’s new travel programme has been implemented with efficiency and cost optimisation in mind by Global Travel Manager Stephanie Rothman, who joined the company last October. Stephanie is a travel specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the industry and has a proven track record in providing strategic travel management advice and solutions. The improvements and cost optimisation of Petrofac’s travel programme will be phased in during Q2, 2019.
