Milestones in Malaysia - two successes for Block PM304

Our Malaysia team has celebrated two milestones on Block PM304.

The Block is located offshore Peninsular Malaysia and is operated by Petrofac on behalf of Petronas, the Malaysian national oil company.

Block PM304 contains:

• West Desaru
• Cendor

Safety Milestone for Cendor

On 29 July, the Cendor Phase 2 Project reached a significant milestone in achieving 10 million man-hours without a Lost Time Incident (LTI).

Mike Shuttleworth, Project Manager, congratulated the team: “Well done to everyone who has worked on this project. This is a significant achievement for the all of those involved and is evidence of our continued commitment to safe reliable operations.”

First oil from West Desaru

First oil from the West Desaru development was achieved at 2.10pm on 3 August.

The West Desaru project went from field development approval to first oil in just over 18 months.
