Kuwait effluent water injection team achieves safety milestone

Our team working on Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) effluent water injection project celebrated a significant safety milestone in September; the team achieved 16 million man-hours without a Lost Time Incident (LTI).  

In 2010, Petrofac was awarded a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of effluent water and central sea water injection facilities to increase the oil recovery capacity in the Raudhatain and Sabriyah fields in Kuwait. Since then, the team have achieved numerous safety milestones and have been honoured for their excellence in safety.  

Krishnan Malhotra, Project Director on the effluent water injection project received the HSE accolade on 26 September 2013 from Mr Eyad Al-Khayat, KOC Team Leader, at KOC Al-Tameer offices in Kuwait.
