International Women in Engineering Day 2017
International Women in Engineering Day aims to raise the profile of women in engineering and technical roles and celebrate their careers and achievements.
To mark this day, we’ve asked some of our outstanding female engineers in Petrofac to share their career journeys and experiences.
Minnie – Civil/Structural Group Manager
Minnie is responsible for managing a team of civil/structural engineers, architects, geotechnical engineers and designers. Also a mother of two, she shares with us her highlights and key learnings throughout her engineering profession as well as how she balances motherhood and a successful career.
Rebecca – Process Engineer
Rebecca assists our onshore operations team with the day-to-day running of an FPSO in the North Sea. She started her journey with us as a graduate and enjoyed several rotations such as working in the brownfield modifications department and technical delivery team. She’s currently working towards her Chartership.
Kirsty – Civil/Structural Engineer
Kirsty joined us as a graduate in Woking and her projects have taken her from Kent to Poland and Houston, where she’s currently seconded. She’s supported a wide range of brownfield, greenfield and renewables projects. She’s worked on the early stages of projects such as bids and proposals, to small modification FEEDs and detailed design work, and then on to larger scale jacket detailed designs and full topsides modification projects.
