Petrofac Houston takes part in Energy Day

Petrofac in Houston recently joined nearly 70 other exhibitors at the city’s annual Energy Day event.

Energy Day aims to educate the greater Houston community on the energy industry. It brings together interactive demonstrations and exhibits to teach students and their families about science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and the various forms of energy. The event also focuses on careers in the energy industry and serves as a backdrop to present young people in the community with scholarship awards.

For the past three years, Petrofac employees across several business units have come together to create a positive presence at Energy Day. Our stand this year showcased an interactive energy-harvesting activity highlighting various forms of energy.  To maximise engagement and interaction with our younger visitors, we incorporated a basic hazard spotting exercise.

Energy Day leads the way in reinforcing the importance of STEM education in Houston, an initiative which is very important for Petrofac. It’s also an excellent opportunity for our Houston office to play an active role in engaging with and educating the local communities.
