FPF3 team in Thailand achieve four years without a Lost Time Incident

On 13 December 2013, our Thailand-based operations team achieved the milestone of four years without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) on the FPF3 vessel.

The floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel is currently deployed on the Jasmine Field in the Gulf of Thailand and is located approximately 150 km offshore in 60 metres of water. Petrofac provides operations and maintenance services for the FPF3 through our Offshore Projects & Operations business, on behalf of Mubadala Petroleum.

The FPF3 team is currently working on extending the ABS Class life of the FPSO until 2018, which entails changing the mooring wires in early 2014.

The team has completed  the scopes of work for the fabrication and installation of a new eight-inch oil production riser for installation in mid-2014, as well as preparing for the 2014 ABS mandated special survey which includes:

  • a UWILD survey (underwater survey in lieu of drydocking)
  • a hull survey
  • cargo tanks survey, and
  • a production facilities survey
