Anasuria team celebrates milestone double

Twenty years ago today the Anasuria FPSO was brought online for the first time. But that’s not the only milestone that her crew and their onshore support team are celebrating today.  As of this morning, they have achieved two years without a lost time incident (LTI).

“To reach this important safety milestone on the day that we celebrate the asset’s 20th production anniversary is quite special”, says Brian Sutherland, Anasuria’s Offshore Installation Manager.

“The team’s drive and focus since Service Operator transition has been impressive and I’d like to thank them for their hard work and commitment. We must now continue to build on our safety performance and that’s down to everyone on board, as well as those we rely on for support onshore.

“With the investment from AOC breathing new life into the asset and Petrofac’s focus on supporting them to extend the life of the field, I hope these milestones will be celebrated for many years to come.”

In March 2016, Petrofac was awarded a Service Operator contract to support Anasuria Operating Company (AOC) on the Anasuria cluster in the North Sea.

Petrofac is undertaking full responsibility on behalf of AOC for the FPSO operations as well as for monitoring and managing the pipelines and wells, with the exception of the Cook well. For the first time in the UKCS, we combined these responsibilities within one outsourced contract – known as Service Operator - an evolution of the outsourced Duty Holder model we pioneered in 1997.

The collaboration with AOC not only marks the evolution of our service model, but it also marks the beginning of a new era for the North Sea.
