International Women's Day 2024: Celebrating progression

We aim to inspire inclusion across our business, support women's professional development, and encourage the next generation of female leaders. To mark International Women's Day, we spoke with some of our talented female colleagues to hear how they've developed their skills and experience and progressed their careers with Petrofac.

Sophie Reid 

Sophie joined Petrofac for the second time in 2016. Today, she is responsible for our global Communications function and is a member of our Executive Committee.

"Good leaders aren't necessarily good at everything. They embrace their strengths, know their weaknesses and surround themselves with people who are different to them."

Anna Douglas

Anna has enjoyed a variety of Human Resources roles over the last twenty years, culminating in her current role of implementing our global inclusion strategy.

Business Line Quality Leader

Zoe Kite

Over the last 12 years, Zoe has grown her career in our Quality function to her current role as a Business Line Lead for Asset Solutions.

"The support, trust, and encouragement I've been given, coupled with the amazing people I've worked with along the way, have to be the main reasons that I've chosen to develop my career at Petrofac."

STRATEGY MANAGER 

Rita El Jamal

Following a successful internship, Rita joined us as a Technical Engineer. Her 13 years at Petrofac have led her to work with our senior leaders in a strategy role.

"Luck favors the bold so be ready to grasp any opportunity offered to you. The ability to switch roles and follow a more 'unusual' career path in the company is something that has helped me find the role that I deliver today."

Nor Othman

Nor joined our legal team in 2011 and now heads our Compliance and Continuous Improvement department.

General Manager

Rachana Ranjit

Rachana started her journey with Petrofac in 2009 as a Senior Electrical Engineer and is now our Chennai office's first female General Manager.

"The Female Leadership Programme at Petrofac really helped me in my leadership journey. I was supported by a senior mentor, and it makes me proud that I can inspire young women in their career journey, too."
