Petrofac makes senior hire for reimbursable business

Petrofac has appointed Nick Shorten as Managing Director of its Engineering and Production Services (EPS) business in the Western Hemisphere.

Nick joins Petrofac from Wood, where he was President of its capital projects business in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. He brings to the company more than 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas, chemicals and marine industries gained through senior business leadership, operations management and project delivery tenures globally. Nick has previously led and delivered large scale, complex projects across all phases of the project lifecycle, as well as directing joint venture companies and operating units.

As Managing Director for EPS in the Western Hemisphere, Nick will have regional accountability for the growth and delivery of the Group’s reimbursable services lines: Operations, Projects, Engineering & Consultancy, and Well Engineering. In addition, Nick assumes overall responsibility for EPS’ Business Development function globally.
