Britannia Operator Limited extends contract with Petrofac

Petrofac Facilities Management, the leading operations management specialist, has been awarded a 5-year extension of its current contract with Britannia Operator Limited (BOL) for operations services on the Britannia platform.

Under the terms of the contract, which is an extension of the original 7-year contract &  worth in excess of £40 million, Petrofac will continue to provide offshore operations, maintenance and onshore support personnel to Britannia.

The Britannia field, situated 210km north-east of Aberdeen, produces gas, condensate & oil and is operated by ConocoPhillips and ChevronTexaco under a stand alone entity, Britannia Operator Limited.

Commenting on the award, John Methven, Director, Operations Management, for Petrofac Facilities Management’s European division said, “We are pleased to have been working  with Britannia since 1996. This is a confirmation of the excellent working relationship we have established and testimony of the significant performance achieved by the combined Britannia and Petrofac onshore and offshore team.”
