Celebrating #INWED21

To mark International Women in Engineering Day on June 23, we talk to three of our finest young female engineers about their routes into the profession.

The event is backed by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES), a charity set up in 1919 after women who had been drafted into technical roles while men were fighting in the First World War, found themselves blocked from these professions once hostilities had ended.

The experiences of our featured engineers show how far attitudes have changed, and all three are passionate champions of the career opportunities offered by our exciting industry.
