Our colleagues share some lessons
from lockdown life
While countries have adopted different tactics to tackle Covid-19, the human response to locked-down life and work has been remarkably universal.
We’re more resilient, optimistic and creative than perhaps we’d given ourselves credit for, adopting new virtual ways of working overnight. We care less about material things, more about people – friends, family, colleagues and community.
There’s a new appreciation of the unheralded work done not just by careworkers but by caretakers, cleaners, refuse collectors. And there’s a determination to take the best things from lockdown life, the lessons we’ve learned about ourselves at work and play, and apply them in our personal and professional lives from now on.
