Local time

Established in 1991, Woking is Petrofac's centre of excellence for early consultancy, conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED activity.

We foster a dynamic culture with creative thinking at our core. We use this to solve problems and provide services that typically support strategic decisions for both new and existing assets.

We support offshore, subsea and onshore oil and gas facilities, as well as renewables (offshore wind, fixed and floating).

Our general engineering services include FEED, detailed engineering and procurement services for international projects and framework agreements.

Our engineering consultancy services complement our wider engineering capability, enabling us to deliver a range of expert analysis and assurance services. This in-house expertise includes:

  • Advisory Services - surface and subsurface expertise and modelling to support investment decisions for new and existing assets
  • Asset integrity assurance – vibration, structural, pipelines and facilities integrity
  • Field development planning – feasibility, concept and pre-FEED
  • Flow Assurance – dynamic and steady state assessment of pipelines both onshore and offshore
  • Process and facilities – dynamic modelling, concept design, technology evaluation and debottlenecking
  • Safety and environmental assessment – acoustics and dispersion modelling
  • Structural analysis – fixed and floating
  • Subsea and pipeline engineering

We provide our services on a standalone basis or integrated as required, to support our larger projects.

Supporting the local community

We have a long-standing partnership with local secondary school and sixth form, Fulbrook School, which aims to equip pupils with the skills they need for succeeding at school and beyond.

We run a two-year mentoring programme for senior students which involves a team of around ten mentors visiting the school monthly to cover a wide range of subjects, such as CV writing, presentation skills, time management, career development and team work. The programme also includes visits to the Petrofac office and work experience opportunities.
