We are looking for graduates across several engineering disciplines to join our Asset Solutions and New Energy Services businesses. It’s an exciting time to join our engineering teams with operations rapidly expanding, including significant contract wins in Australia, the Gulf of Mexico, and West Africa. The Well Engineering role will join a fast-paced team with global reach. You'll have the opportunity to gain well site engineering experience on one of our contracted mobile offshore drilling units, or invention vessels, supporting our programmed activities. And you will be engaged in the day-to-day delivery of well site activities, responsible for liaising and technical coordination of a variety of supplier organisations' services to ensure on-time delivery of well site operations.

We are looking for two graduates to make an impact in our Asset Solutions business’ HSE department.

The HSE Coordinator will ideally hold an Environmental Health or a Law degree and be trusted with supporting our Contracts teams with advice, action, and knowledge on all things health, safety, and environment.

The Environmental Graduate will show a strong passion for #NetZero and energy reduction projects. We are looking for engineering and science graduates to work with our operations and project teams and provide environmental support and ensure implementation of the environmental management system.

Both roles are based in our operational stronghold in Aberdeen with the hybrid workplace model in place.

IT and Digital

Digitalisation innovations and reliable IT solutions have become synonymous with successful energy projects.

We are on the search for a Data Science graduate who will breathe in data and breathe out useful models, dashboards, and datasets. In time, they will become an integral part of our Data Science and Analytics team in Aberdeen.

The ERP team in Aberdeen is looking forward to welcoming an ERP (Oracle Fusion Cloud Application and Infrastructure) graduate. Part of the IT department, the chosen graduate will help drive operational excellence and change management to our mission critical system.

The most suitable for these roles are graduates with degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, and similar.

  • Online application
    The first step is to apply to your desired role based on your academic background and the role requirements by completing the online application.
  • The first Situational Judgement Test (SJT)
    You will then be asked to complete a Situational Judgement Test.
  • Online tests
    There are three short exercises to measure your reasoning ability. They involve working with written information, numerical data, and abstract information (patterns and sequences). There will also be a personality questionnaire in which you self-assess your behaviour, such as interacting with other people or working with detail. This helps us match you to the qualities required in the workplace.
  • The second SJT
    Our second SJT focuses on safety at work. Whether you’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, working safely is of paramount importance for all Petrofac employees and associates.
  • Video interview
    Next we’ll ask you to complete a video interview which will consist of a series
    of questions that appear on screen. You’ll then be asked to record yourself responding to them.
  • Virtual Assessment centre
    If you pass all the above stages, we’ll invite you to attend a half day assessment. The assessment will be conducted online. The assessment centre consists of a group exercise, interview, and presentation. It takes place between 8-15 August.

When can I apply for a graduate role at Petrofac?

Is this an office-based role?

Petrofac delivers projects for its clients and site/location experience is essential. Our graduate programme provides crucial early career development and all-rounded experience within the business. Depending on your role, you can expect to spend a significant amount of your time on the early career programme getting first-hand experience at one of our projects. Willingness to travel and spend time on-site is a must.
