Asset management
Petrofac pioneered the Duty Holder model in 1997 on the Northern Producer and today, as the Duty Holder for 12 onshore and offshore assets both in the UKCS and internationally, we’re considered an expert in our field.
The operations team ensures the safe management and maintenance of assets through the supply of highly experienced and dedicated personnel and tried and tested processes and procedures.
Our services range from the straightforward supply of manpower, to supervision and performance management, to the complete operations management of an asset – all of which result in a partnership that lets the customer dedicate time and resource to its responsibilities as license operator.
As the innovator of the Duty Holder concept of ‘facilities management’ we are recognised as the industry leader in Duty Holder operations, with a demonstrable track record of:

We started our Duty Holder operations with the Northern Producer (PDF 0.4MB) in 1997 and, on behalf of EnQuest, we continue to fulfil that role today. Amongst others, we also provide this service on the Kittiwake platform (on behalf of Centrica, since 2003), at Bacton terminal (PDF 0.3MB) on behalf of ENI (since 2008) and for the Sharjah Goverment at the Sajaa gas plant, Sharjah, UAE (since 2010).
