FEED
During front end engineering and design (FEED) we define the development concept study for a project. This enables you to obtain final project sanction, submit applications to authorities and establish a basis for the construction and contracting phases.
We can perform fast-track limited concept work during early FEED when schedules dictate.
Offshore, we have experience in different regions including the North Sea, Malaysia, Africa and the Mediterranean. We have developed greenfield and brownfield assets in various water depths including:
- floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO)
- integrated drilling, processing and export platforms
- minimum facility fixed platforms
- mobile drilling and production units
- subsea production units
Onshore, we have executed FEED projects in the world’s most environmentally and climatically-challenging regions. Our multi-discipline design team provides:
- civil engineering
- electrical engineering
- instrument engineering
- mechanical engineering
- metallurgy and materials engineering
- pipeline engineering
- piping engineering
- piping layout design (including 3D modelling)
- processing engineering (including flow assurance and dynamic plant simulation)
- risk, safety and environmental engineering
- structural engineering
All FEED work is supported by a cost estimation function using current cost information gathered by our global procurement capability.
Our extensive EPC and operations experience means our engineers have a unique life of field perspective. This combined with our team’s broad mix of skills and experience means we will mobilise the right engineers as early as possible during a project so that their influence can add the most value.
