Petrofac Wins Sharjah Economic Excellence Award

Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider has been awarded the 2009 Sharjah Economic Excellence Award in the large firm category – service sector.
Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qassimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the award ceremony was held in Sharjah’s prestigious Chamber of Commerce and Industry building on 26 May 2010.
In order to arrive at this successful outcome, the award process required a detailed entry submission addressing a broad scope of Petrofac’s business activities. This was followed by subsequent clarifications and a site visit by Excellence Award assessors, during which they had an opportunity to meet with members of the management team and other employees.
Petrofac’s group chief operating officer Maroun Semaan commented: “I am extremely privileged to receive the award on behalf of Petrofac. It is a testimony to our UAE based employees in their continuous pursuit of excellence that we have been honoured in this way. We are enormously proud to be recognised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for our efforts which would not have been possible without the support of the Government of Sharjah under the wise leadership of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamad Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.”
