Global Agreement with Atlas Interactive
23 September, 2008
Petrofac Training, the training and consultancy arm of international oil & gas facilities service provider Petrofac, has signed a global agreement with e-learning company Atlas Interactive.
This agreement enhances Petrofac Training’s ability to deliver generic and customised e-learning courses to the international oil & gas industry. Customers will have access to HSE and technical learning programmes, an Internet portal, results tracking and a Learning Management System, enabling them to fast track the learning process on key topics required for working in the oil & gas industry.
Aberdeen-headquartered Atlas Interactive has been producing e-learning products since 1995 and more than 350,000 learners use its products worldwide every year. Formalisation of this agreement further enhances Petrofac Training’s global market position and e-learning capability, offering customers a compelling training service in-line with the Company’s continued effort to develop competent, safer and more efficient workforces globally.
Peter Conner, director, service development, Petrofac Training, said: “Petrofac Training and Atlas have worked together successfully on a number of projects and formalising our business partnership on a worldwide basis is the logical progression for us. We hope that our global e-learning capability, across multiple HSE and technical subjects, will provide a highly compelling learning proposition for current and future customers.”
Tim Love, senior VP, global sales and marketing, Atlas Interactive, said: “Operating across the world, both Atlas Interactive and Petrofac are focused on delivering first-class HSE and technical training to the oil & gas industry. This global agreement enables customers to benefit from a learning portal for the delivery of computer-based training (CBT), and the support of a dedicated team of software developers. We very much look forward to strengthening and consolidating the excellent relationship that we already enjoy with Petrofac, and to continuing to deliver premium quality products.”
