SPD Completes Well-Management Programme in Southern North Sea
30 January, 2009
SPD, the well operations arm of Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, has successfully completed a one-well programme in the Southern North Sea, on behalf of Serica Energy Limited.
SPD has executed all parts of the programme under an innovative Well-Management business model, in which contract management services are included alongside engineering and operations management. With a project value in excess of £10 million, SPD provided the well engineering and operations management services to Serica and contracted the jack-up rig Energy Enhancer, owned and operated by subsidiaries of Northern Offshore, Ltd.
SPD managing director, Clive Smith, said: “The completion of this project represents a further milestone in the development of SPD’s UKCS well construction business and we look forward to meeting the industry challenges of 2009.”
