Petrofac’s Thailand-based operations personnel manage the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel FPF3 on contract to Pearl Energy, a subsidiary of Mubadala. Petrofac provides operations and maintenance services for the FPF3 through its Offshore Projects and Operations business. Our Bangkok office has eight core employees and a further 46 individuals are deployed offshore.

The ABS Classed FPSO is currently deployed on the Jasmine Field in the Gulf of Thailand and is located approximately 150 km offshore in 60 metres of water. Oil is produced from a multi-platform complex to the FPSO where the crude oil is separated from water and gas and stored until it is lifted to a sales tanker.

As both owner of the FPSO and its service provider, Petrofac can support Pearl Energy’s current requirements, while working with them to identify potential areas for further support on this and future projects in the Gulf of Thailand.
