Petrofac’s work is inherently hazardous - we build and operate hydrocarbon plant, usually in difficult environments. Protecting the health and safety of people is not just our moral duty; it is fundamental to sustaining delivery to our customers.

We constantly learn from our experiences, striving to improve. Managers and supervisors get into the workplace to listen to our people. Each member of our workforce monitors the safety of, and looks after other team members. Petrofac’s audit teams examine effectiveness and identify improvement; and external assessors test compliance against international standards and best practice.

To maximise learning we play a leading role in industry benchmarking, sharing our knowledge and drawing on experience and best practice from others.

Our goal is to have a workforce with a positive and understanding attitude to avoiding injury and major incidents, with the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge the practices that should keep them safe
