Career development
Petrofac is committed to retaining talent within our organisation. We have a number of development programmes in operation throughout our business tailored to meet the needs of the specific division and its local workforce, whilst being underpinned by a group-wide focus on talent management and people development.
Engineering & Construction
Within Engineering & Construction it is essential that we proactively develop our internal management resources to continue to meet the organisation’s growth requirements. To address this need we are currently implementing a competency based development programme covering all key positions. Our objective is to ensure that we have a robust succession planning process with the necessary strength and depth to seamlessly meet our projected requirements. In addition to knowledge and skill requirements the competencies are focused on behaviours to ensure we develop the climate and culture necessary to deliver success.
Operations Services
Continuous development of people is a key feature of the Operations Services division from programmes that provide assurance of an employee’s technical competence through to initiatives that support long-term career development within the organisation. Programmes include: Future.Net – a personal development programme for graduates and young professionals, our Management Development programme and the Petrofac Academy. Petrofac Academy has been developed to create and communicate operational standards throughout the business. Known as ‘the Petrofac way’, the standards relate to the way in which people within Petrofac undertake their daily activities, and it includes a Leadership and Development programme.
Energy Developments
Energy Developments is committed to the ongoing development of our people, through development programmes tailored to meet the needs of people in all locations. The training programme is structured individually, taking into account the needs and skills of each individual and can include mentoring, on the job training, formal classroom based courses and other programmes.
