Production Solutions offers customers single-point access to a wide range of production improvement services provided under value-aligned commercial structures.
Our team of specialist engineers and consultants use innovative technologies, combined with knowledge and experience, to help our customers in the oil & gas industry improve production, profitability, operational efficiency, asset integrity and the recovery of marginal reserves.
The business unit is comprised of a number of specialist service providers which enables Production Solutions to provide the following services either independently or as part of a wider integrated service:
Production Solutions also comprises Dubai Petroleum, which was created following the Dubai Government’s pioneering decision to move to operation of its offshore fields through the new state-owned entity - Dubai Petroleum. In April 2007, Petrofac assumed responsibility for well and facilities management. As part of the total service provision, Petrofac has responsibility for all well construction, maintenance and operations for the 420-plus existing wells.
Our key competencies include:
- Production performance improvement, from the reservoir to the delivery point
- Leading-edge drilling and well engineering
- Optimised reservoir management and field (re-)development planning
- Asset integrity management
- Management consultancy to develop and deliver the plan
- Development and delivery of novel pumping and separation technologies for new and retrofit optimisation of production
Production Solutions’ services can be provided as either discrete service offerings or as integrated service packages and we can work with the operator’s team or supply the complete manpower requirement. By utilising these skills, and if needed, incorporating any of the wide range of services provided by other Petrofac business units, Production Solutions can configure the right service solution to address a customer’s needs.
In short, we can provide everything from specialist and expert support for individual wells; through to large and complex field-wide production enhancement projects or field developments.
We have a variety of commercial models for these services, ranging from traditional service billings, equipment sales, hardware rental programmes for patented technology and risk-based quasi-equity programmes, where Petrofac services and investments are paid for from incremental production delivered.
These commercial structures reinforce Production Solutions’ value and performance-driven delivery of services, and ensure risk/reward alignment between the customer and Petrofac.
